This started in the churches nobody could find.

Drive through any small town and you’ll pass a faithful congregation that has served its neighbors for decades — and if you searched for a church on your phone at that same corner, it wouldn’t appear. Not because it isn’t there. Because being findable online costs money, and a congregation of fifty has better things to spend it on.

We’re not describing this from the outside. This Foundation was started by a pastor, and five of our six directors are pastors. We know what it is to be bi-vocational, to have a “tech team” that is one volunteer with a day job, and to be cold-called by web companies with contracts and monthly fees until you learn to just say no. A church in that position doesn’t need a pitch. It needs someone else to simply pay for it.

So that’s what we do. White Oak Foundation is a public charity: donors give, and we fund complete websites for small churches, rural churches, and church plants — built, hosted, and kept online at no cost to the church, ever. The church owns its website. We just make sure the bill never reaches them.
